LCD’s are currently used in many devices that have a display such as TVs, cell phones, iPads, gaming devices, touch screens etc and quantum dots are now being incorporated into LCD technology. Companies involved in manufacturing and utilizing LCDs in their devices are all potential users of QDs. In general, QDs offer a greater color range, brightness and accuracy, along with energy efficiency and a longer lifetime.

QD technology will allow for the generation of flexible displays, not currently possible with silicon based displays.
